On the whale and dolphin watching tour you'll enjoy the company of the humpback whale during the winter as well as pods of dolphins (bottlenose dolphins and spotted dolphins) in their own natural enviroment.
The tour begins with an American breakfast (coffee, juice and bread) while there is an educational briefing in our small museum where you will have the opportunity to see and touch whale and dolphin skeletons, bones, teeth, baleen and other educational material as well as learn a little about their biology, life and behavior. After you've been introduced to the world of whales and dolphins you'll board one of our vessels and we will head out to the bay, searching for whales and for dolphins. The estimated time to find the first group of whales or dolphins is between 30 – 45 minutes. When whales are found, we'll follow them depending on their behavior and respecting the whale watching regulations in the area. The humpback whales visit the bay to mate and to give birth, so this tour often allows the opportunity to see baby whales and lots of activity on surface such as breaching, lob tailing, fluking, flippering, and even singing; all of these actions are part of their communication and courtship. After watching whales and dolphins the vessel heads back to port.
Our guides are specialists in cetaceans: Biologist, Masters in Science, and Wildlife photographers; many have been featured in Animal Planet, National Geographic Magazine (spanish version, in July 1999 and November 2000), as well as in many other publications. This allows us to provide a qualified specialized service with professional knowledge, and to find and see whales and dolphins with a 100% GUARANTEE (or your money back)! On board we have a hydrophone system to listen to the songs of the whales and to listen the dolphins, and snorkel gear to be used in the event we are able to swim with the dolphins. There is also water, juice, sodas, lunch (baguette sandwhich) and snacks provided during the tour.
