Canopy Tours is an exciting adventure situated high in the jungle’s treetops. Located in one of the lushest areas of Puerto Vallarta, Canopy Las Juntas y Los Veranos IS THE LARGEST OF IT´S KIND IN MÉXICO. Experience a once-in-a-lifetime chance to zip from tree to tree and take pleasure in the wonderful sights and sounds of Mexico’s magnificent jungle.
Your tour begins 5 kilometers south of Puerto Vallarta where our bilingual driver escorts you on a scenic drive along the southern tropical coastline. From our air conditioned van or our shaded open-air Mercedes jungle cruiser, view the lovely beaches and picturesque Los Arcos. Following your 30-minute ride you will arrive in Las Juntas. There, our friendly, well-trained staff will secure you in your professional climbing harness and brief you on the exciting adventure on which you will embark.
A short 3-5 minute walk among the jungle flora takes you to aspiral staircase which leads up to the first of 15 platforms. The first cable is only 25 feet long and is a practice run to assure your comfort level. The cables are designed to gradually take you higher and faster from platforms in the trees as high as 70 feet in the air. Along your tour among the tree platforms our guides will point out local coffee trees, vanilla vines and exotic orchids. Six of 15 cables zip you along in the treetops to prepare you for the river crossings. On the last four cables you’ll find yourself gliding over a dramatic river gorge filled with granite boulders and rapids. On the other side of the river are agaves and other types of cactus used to make tequila. The last cable shoots you right over the rapids and into our palapa for a complimentary refreshment. This is truly an adventure not to be missed.
At the end of the tour, be our guest for a cold soft drink. Alcoholic beverages are available at the Palapa Bar. You are more than welcome to go for a dip in the river and relax in the geologic wonders surrounding Canopy Tour – the largest of its kind in México.
