Canopy Nogalito is an exciting adventure situated high in the jungle’s treetops. Located in one of the lushest areas of Puerto Vallarta. Your tour begins 1 kilometer south of Puerto Vallarta where our bilingual driver escorts you on a scenic drive along the southern tropical coastline. From an air conditioned van, view the lovely beaches and pictures. Following your 30 minute ride you arrive in El Nogalito Restaurant. There, our friendly, well-trained staff will secure you in your professional climbing harness and brief you on the exciting adventure on which you will embark.
A short 3-5 minute walk among the jungle flora takes you to spiral staircase which is the first of 12 platforms. The first cable (25 feet long) is a practice run to assure your comfort level. The cables are designed to gradually take you higher and faster from platforms in the mountains. Along your tour among the mountain platforms our guides will point out local coffee trees, vanilla vines and exotic orchids. Six of 15 cables “ zip you along” in the treetops to prepare you for the river crossings. A series of the last four you’ll find yourself gliding over a dramatic river gorge filled with granite boulders and rapids. On the other side of the river are agaves and other types of cactus used to make tequila. The last cable shoots you right over the rapids and into our restaurant for a complimentary refreshment. Truly an adventure not to be missed.
At the end of the tour, be our guest for a cold soft drink. Alcoholic beverages are available at the Nogalito Restaurant. You are more than welcome to go for a dip in the river and relax in the geologic wonders surrounding Canopy Nogalito – the largest of its kind in México.
